Faye Dianne (Meyer) Anderson, 87 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Holdrege Memorial Homes, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 24, 1938, in Holdrege, the oldest of three children born to Delbert and Clara "Susie" (Lavene) Meyer. She attended Loomis Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1956.
On January 26, 1958, she was united in marriage to Kenneth "Dean" Anderson at Bethel Lutheran Church in Holdrege. The union was blessed with three children: Sheryl, Janell, and Kyle. The family made their home in Holdrege, where she worked for over 40 years at Brewster Clinic and then Holdrege Medical Clinic. She especially enjoyed working with the kids at Child Watch at the Holdrege YMCA. In retirement, she did janitorial work for many years at R-7, R-6, Holdrege Medical Clinic, Dr. Doolittle's clinic, and the Phelps County Courthouse.
Faye had a true gift for crafting and found great joy in creating handmade teddy bears and dolls for each of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending craft shows and gardening. Faye and Dean were their grandchildren's biggest supporters, faithfully attending as many games, concerts, and activities as they could. Above all else, Faye's family was the center of her life. She had a caring heart, was always willing to help others, and lived as a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
Besides her parents and husband Dean, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bruce Nelson; great-grandson, Alex Ben Christensen; sister, Patricia Eastep; her brother-in-law, Donald Anderson; and sister-in-law, Rose Anderson.
She leaves to celebrate her life; two daughters: Sheryl McClymont and her husband, Reed of Holdrege; and Janell Huston and her husband, Jim of Loomis, Nebraska; son, Kyle Anderson and his wife, Ann of Holdrege; eight grandchildren: Stacie (Tyler) Christensen; Kazia Nelson and Travis Nelson; Maddie Nitsch; Macey (Riley) Orozco; Matt (Jessica) Huston; Faith Anderson; Hope Anderson; and Grace Anderson; fourteen great-grandchildren: Eli, Isaac, Jace, and Luke Christensen; Anthony, Kaeli, and Andrew Nelson; Huston, Ike, and Quincy Nitsch; McCrae and Murdock Orozco; Hayes and Jett Huston; one sister, Marlys Sinsel and her husband, Arden of Minden, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Dorothy Urbom and her husband, Merlyn of Holdrege; brother-in-law, Dennis Anderson and his wife, Joyce of Tucson, Arizona; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members; and many friends.
