Florence Morse

Graveside Services for Florence Morse will be conducted at Williamsburg United Methodist Church Cemetery in rural Phelps County, Nebraska on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Murray Miller, officiating.

Florence Morse, 99 years of age, of Bertrand, Nebraska (formerly of rural Overton, Nebraska) passed away peacefully at the Bertrand Nursing Home on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. She was born on March 14, 1911, at Elm Creek, Nebraska to Gabriel and Sarah (Jacobson) Johnson. Florence was one of fourteen brothers and sisters. She attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Florence was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Holdrege. Her life was centered on the Lord and she was always willing to serve him in any way she could.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn on May 14, 2004. Survivors include two sons: Ron Morse and his wife, Jeanie of Golden, CO and John Morse of Lincoln, NE; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Margarete Carter of Scottsville, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Holdrege on Sunday, March 21, 2010 with the family greeting friends from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

A memorial has been established in her memory and kindly suggested to the Williamsburg United Methodist Church - Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
