Gale Hays

Gale Hays, 69, of Holdrege, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 24, 2024 in Holdrege.  Gale was born on April 11, 1954, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Claude Willas and Clara (Sonders) Wright.  After graduating high school, she pursued further education and attained her Cosmetology License.  She continued her work with cosmetology for over 40 years.  Gale was also employed with BD for many years and is where she met the love of her life and husband of 23 years Larry D Hays.

Together they enjoyed numerous trips to Alaska, attending Tri-City storm hockey, decorating their yard, and time spent with family and friends.  Gale also enjoyed reading and collecting antiques.

The family would like to thank everyone who made Gale's final couple months full of love, prayers, and even some goodies.  A special thank you to her niece Tami Castleberry from Alaska that has been here for almost 2 months to help care for Gale during her time of need. She provided Gale with peace and comfort and was by her side until the end.  Gale is now back with Larry the love of her life along with so many other family and friends.

Honoring Gale's wishes there will not be a service or a celebration of life.
