Georgina Mae (Mohr) Rademaker, 97 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Holdrege Memorial Homes surrounded by her family. Georgina was born on December 9, 1925, at a farm, North of Bertrand, Nebraska, the eldest of two daughters born to George and Jennie (Johnson) Mohr. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bertrand. The family moved south of Loomis, Nebraska, by the Rock Falls area, where she attended the one room Sunnyside Elementary School. She then attended Mascot High School, and graduated with the class of 1943.

On February 14, 1948, she was united in marriage to Ervin R. Rademaker in Holdrege and to this union four children were born:  Gerald Lee, Byron Lee, Doyle Ervin and Jeanne Mae.  The family made their home, west of Atlanta, Nebraska, where they engaged in farming and ranching until their retirement in 1984. She enjoyed farm life and helping her husband, and raising her children in the country. Georgina also worked at the ASC office, the Atlanta Prisoner of War Camp, and at the Loomis School as an administrative assistant. Following retirement, the couple enjoyed playing rook with neighbors, playing cards, and attending Army Reunions.   On February 21, 2020, she was preceded in death by Ervin.

She was a devoted member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, and was active in church bible circles, food service groups and the Altar Guild. Georgina loved to crochet, and made many beautiful afghans through the years and attending garage sales.  She loved being a Mother and Grandmother, and enjoyed being involved with her children's activities and later, her grandchildren's activities and sporting events. Above all, she left a legacy to her family of God's amazing love and grace.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Alven Rademaker; four sisters-in-law:  Mabel (Chuck) Margurites; Hazel (Frank) Abraham; and twins:  Doris (Robert) Church and Dorothy (Clarence) Hopper; and her sister, LoDema Ivey.

Georgina leaves to celebrate her life; three sons:  Gerald Rademaker of Holdrege; Byron Rademaker of rural Bertrand, Nebraska; and Doyle Rademaker and his wife, Pam of Holdrege; one daughter, Jeanne Smith and her husband, John of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren:  Tara Smith; Blake Rademaker; Tanner Smith; and Brock Rademaker and his wife, Becca; brother-in-law, John Ivey of Lexington, Nebraska; sister-in-law: Delores Rademaker of Holdrege; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
