Glen J. Leckner

A Memorial Service for Glen J. Leckner will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Mr. Jeff Harper officiating.

Glen J. Leckner, 37 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at his home in Holdrege. Glen was born on December 28, 1984 in Lyons, Kansas, the eldest of two children born to Laurence and Linda (Kilgore) Leckner.

He attended Pratt USD 382 Public Schools, with the class of 2003.

Glen was blessed with three children: Halle, Laurence and Mason.  He was a great son, brother, father and uncle.  Glen taught his nieces and nephews to fish, kayak, and life skills.

Glen was employed by CPI in Hastings, Nebraska, as a local truck driver.  He enjoyed tinkering with anything; riding motorcycles; fishing; and anything outdoors.  During the winter months, Glen enjoyed gaming.  He could strike up a conversation with anyone.  He will be remembered for sense of humor.

Glen was preceded in death by his father, Laurence Leckner.

Glen is survived by his mother, Linda Bastow of Holdrege; sister, Junell Typer and her husband, David of Holdrege; his three children:  Halle, Laurence, and Mason; along with many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

There will be no visitation, viewing, or memorial booking the evening prior to the service.  The family has honored his wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in Glen's honor and kindly suggested to the family.  The family requests a memorial verse sending flowers, to help with expenses.
