Gregory E Mossop

A Graveside Service for Gregory E. Mossop will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Cemetery in rural Bertrand, Nebraska, with Mr. Lance Blythe officiating.  A private visitation will be held.

Gregory Ellis Mossop, 71, of Bertrand, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at his home.  Greg was born on July 29, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, the younger of two sons, born to John Alvin and Mae Marie (Larson) Mossop. He graduated from Bogota High School in Colombia, South America.  Greg pursued higher education from Butler Community College in Pennsylvania.

On July 10, 1979, Greg was united in marriage to Gayle J. Stapleton in Milwaukee.  The couple lived in many cities throughout their marriage and later began to make their home in Bertrand in 1993.

Greg loved his grandchildren and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with them.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael Mossop in 2003.

Survivors:  his wife, Gayle of Holdrege; his son, Thomas Mossop and his wife, Stephanie of rural Loomis, Nebraska; a stepson, Tobias Stapleton of Holdrege; five grandchildren:  David, Isabelle, Gabbi, Kaitlyn, and Liam; and other extended relatives.

A memorial has been suggested to the family for later designation.
