Hayley Beason

A funeral service for Hayley J. Beason will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Pastor Murray Jones officiating. An inurnment will be held at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege.

Hayley Jane Beason, 28 years of age, of Stamford, Nebraska, formerly of Holdrege, passed away on July 10, 2025, at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Hayley was born in Independence, Kansas, on March 21, 1997, to Charles Beason and Lisa Wilcox. She received her education from Big Stone Gap Public School in Virginia, Holdrege Public Schools, and later, graduated from Wilcox High School with the class of 2015.

Growing up, Hayley participated in the 2010 Miss Nebraska Preteen Pageant. She also played basketball and was active in track at Wilcox High School, where she qualified and competed at the state level in Pole Vault.

Family was the most important thing to her. Hayley and her soulmate, Chris were devoted parents to their children, Jaxon and Josie. She had a lot of friends and will be remembered for her free spirit, her bubbly personality and the way she loved life.

Hayley was incredibly talented and loved crafting and drawing. Recently, she discovered a passion for tattoo design and had grown exceptionally skilled at it. Hayley loved to travel and was always on the go!

She was preceded in death by her grandma, Sandy Wilcox; great-grandparents: Robert and Doris Wilcox; and August and Minnie Katzberg; aunts: Becky Lerma; Kathy Beason; Suzie Beason; Joyce Vaughn; Doris Vaughn; uncles: Sam Beason; Nick Beason; Tommy Beason; one cousin, Graham Beason; and Chris's dad, Christopher Devich, Sr.

Hayley is survived by her mother, Lisa Wilcox of Stamford; her father, Charles Beason, Virginia; her soulmate, Chris Devich of Norfolk, Nebraska; two children: Jaxon Devich and Josie Devich; two brothers: Patrick Wilcox and his wife, Melinda Coomer of Holdrege; Joseph Horton of Eldon, Missouri; two sisters: Holli Wilcox of Kansas City, Kansas; Hope Beason of Stamford; maternal grandfather, Michael Wilcox and his wife, Kathy of Crete, Nebraska; nieces and nephews: Kolten Wilcox, Kaiden Wilcox; and Sawyer Flynn; one aunt, Julie Skiles and her husband, Sean of Clovis, California; Chris's mom, Mandy Devich of Kearney, Nebraska; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Nelson Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege. Following the viewing, cremation will take place.

Memorials in Hayley's honor are suggested to the family for a later designation.
