Memorial Services for Ida F. Rogers will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Chaplain Kathy Doiel officiating.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery at McCook, Nebraska.

Ida F. Rogers, 85 years of age, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege.  She was born on September 21, 1933 in Russell, Kansas to Harold H. and Corinne (Brainerd) Hoskins.  She graduated from Russell High School in 1951.

In 1952, she married Gerald "Jetsy" Dumler, and to this union three children were born:  Carla, Debby and Jerry.

She married Darrell "Jim" Wylie in 1968 and they moved to Holdrege.  During this time, she worked in the office at Becton-Dickinson.

In 1974, she married John F. "Jack" Rogers and moved to McCook, where they resided until his death on September 11, 2011.  She worked at Dayco Production, as a bookkeeper until her retirement.  Ida and Jack loved to travel, both in the states and abroad.

Ida was always a hard worker and had several jobs over the years.  She worked as a checker, waitress and bookkeeper.  She loved to shop and was always stylish and sparkly.

She was preceded in death by; her parents; her husbands; and her brother, John Hoskins.

Survivors include:   her daughters, Carla Thomsen and her husband, Bruce of Holdrege; and Debby Lafferty and her husband, Winston of McCook; her son, Jerry Wylie and his wife, Terri of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; seven grandchildren:  Heather Melroy of Holdrege; Jake Thomsen of Kearney, Nebraska; Ellie Schroeder of Kearney; Wynn Lafferty and Ty Lafferty both of Lincoln, Nebraska;  Kristina Wylie of Denver, Colorado; and Joanna Wylie of Cozad, Nebraska; 12 great-grandchildren: Avery and Addison Johnson; Treven Melroy; Estella and Hank Thomsen; Brady and Braxton Schroeder; Braylyn, Adelia, Lyla, Lily and Haille Lafferty; and her sister, Shirley Scarborough of Grand Island, Nebraska.

There will be no visitation. The family is honoring Ida's wish for cremation.

Memorials are kindly suggested to your local YMCA or to the Holdrege Memorial Homes Foundation. Ida didn't like to receive fresh flowers.
