Graveside Services and Interment for Inez E. Terry will be conducted from the Industry Cemetery near Atlanta, Nebraska on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Chaplain DeWane Dow, officiating. Following the graveside service, memorial services will be held at the Christian Homes Care Community Chapel in Holdrege, Nebraska at 11:00 a.m.

Inez E. Terry, 86 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Christian Homes Care Community in Holdrege. Inez was born February 21, 1924 at Simpson, Colorado, the tenth of eleven children born to Dennis F. and Alice (Vian) Miller. The family moved to Mitchell, Nebraska, where Inez went to school until the 7th grade. The family then moved to Gibbon, Nebraska, where she graduated from Gibbon High School.

Following her education, Inez worked for the Ordinance Plant in Grand Island, Nebraska, making ammunition for the war. After the war, Inez moved to Kearney, Nebraska, where she met and married Marion Y. Terry and to this union two children were born: William and Mary. They moved to Dallas, Texas in 1946. After moving back to Kearney in 1951, she worked as a taxi driver before her employment at Baldwin Oil Filters. In 1975 she moved to Bertrand, Nebraska and was employed by Becton Dickinson of Holdrege until her retirement in 1990. Inez then moved to Holdrege and resided at Sunrise View Apartments until her failing health and became a resident at the Christian Homes Care Community until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary (Schmidt) Cates on July 26, 2001; four sisters: Georgia, Ida, Lola and Irma; and six brothers: Russell, Albert, Forest, Ray, Dennis "Bill" and Johnny.

Inez is survived by her son, William Terry of Holdrege; four granddaughters: Joyce Antillion and her husband, Gilbert of Virginia, Mandy Rahe and her husband, Andrew of Kearney, Nebraska, Sheri Wyatt and her husband, Will of Holdrege and Susan Libich and her husband, Marshall of Gothenburg, Nebraska; three grandsons: Shane Salsbury of Holdrege, Robert Schmidt of Iowa and James Cates and his wife, Kristina of Holdrege; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in her memory and kindly suggested to the family.
