Irma L. Wilson, 92 years of age, of Lewisville, Texas (formerly of Holdrege, Nebraska) died Tuesday November 2, 2010 at Texas Heath Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound, Texas following a brief illness. Irma was born in Culbertson, Nebraska on September 19, 1918 one of four children born to Floyd and Edith (Macy) White. She graduated from Holdrege High School.

On September 18, 1938 Irma was united in marriage to Darryl Woodrow "Bud" Wilson. Irma and Bud lived in Oxford, Holdrege and other nearby communities for much of their lives. Although she was profoundly deaf as an adult, Irma was active in Eastern Star. She and Bud were avid square dance fans and regularly attended those events throughout Central Nebraska. One of the major highlights of their 50th wedding anniversary was a square dance held in their honor. Bud passed away on August 13, 1989.

Irma is survived by her sons, James Wilson and his wife, Linda of Dallas, Texas and Douglas Wilson and his wife, Dea of Alliance Nebraska; daughter, Dianne Wilson of Spokane, Washington; a sister, Carol Leopold of Denver, Colorado; a brother, Jack White of Barstow, California; seven grandchildren; and nine great-children.

There will be no visitation as the family is honoring her wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in her name and will be designated at a later date.
