Jace Ryan Jones

Funeral Services for Jace Ryan Jones will be conducted from the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Dale Lambert, officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Jace Ryan Jones, two days of age, infant son of Josh and Tori Jones of Holdrege, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Jace was born on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the UNMC in Omaha and shortly after birth received a baby blessing. On Saturday, April 9, 2011, Jace was baptized by Pastor Dale, with his parents, family and friends by his side. Jace was born with a rare form of skeletal dysplasia known as Type 2 – Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Even though, their time was brief with Jace, his parents will hold their memories close to their heart and treasure their time spent with their little angel.

Jace Ryan is survived by his parents: Josh and Tori Jones of Holdrege; sister, Jaylee at home in Holdrege; maternal grandparents: Kenton and Marilyn Thompson; paternal grandparents: Dan and Mary Jones; great-grandparents: Ruth Carol Thompson, Merle and Addie Divis, and Jim and Maxine Jones all of Holdrege; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Jace was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Robert L. Thompson, Marion and Gwen Ryan, and Alice Divis.

Visitation will be held at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established in Jace's name and will be designated at a later date.
