Mass of Christian Burial Service for Jacqueline "Jackie" A. Klein will be conducted from the All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Thomas Lux, officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Ann Klein, 57 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Bryan-LGH East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jackie was born May 31, 1950 at Kearney, Nebraska, the eldest of six of children of Jack R. and Annabelle (Etzelmiller) McGuigan. She received her education through St. James Catholic School and Kearney Public Schools, graduating from Kearney High School with the class of 1968. Jackie then pursued higher education at Kearney State College.

Following her education, she was united in marriage to Michael C. Klein on August 14, 1971 at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney. The couple was blessed with four children: Andrew M., Benjamin P., Molly E. and Katherine A. The family made their home in Holdrege, where Jackie focused on raising their children and enjoyed life as a homemaker for her family.

Jackie was an avid sports fan, especially enjoyed attending all of her children and grandchildren's activities. She loved to read, travel, tend to her flower garden and mostly importantly in her life was spending time with her family.

She was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Mike of Holdrege; four children: Andy Klein and his fiancé, Stephanie Christensen of Holdrege, Ben Klein and his wife, Jenn of Lincoln, Molly Klein of Lincoln and Katie Klein of Kearney; three grandchildren: Gavin and Jirsie Klein and Sadie Mae Klein; one brother, John McGuigan and his wife, Julie of Ravenna, Nebraska; three sisters: Bobbi Samway, Susan Winslow and her husband, Harvey and Mary McGuigan all of Kearney; brother-in-law, Mark Klein and his wife, Joanie of Kearney; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Susan Lynne in infancy.

Jackie will lie in state at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege on Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

A Wake Service will be held on Thursday, evening at 7:00 p.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church.

A memorial has been established in her memory and kindly suggested to the Holdrege Volunteer Fire Department-Emergency Unit, Prairie Sports Association-Softball, Child Saving Institute, Juvenile Diabetes Research Association or the All Saints Catholic Church.
