Mass of Christian Burial for James T. Lennemann will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alma, Nebraska with Fathers Jamie Hottovy and Robert Barnhill as co-celebrants. Rosary will be recited at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alma prior to the Mass on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow the services in the St. Joseph Catholic Section of the Alma Cemetery.
James Thomas Lennemann, 74 years of age, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at his home. James was born at Orleans, Nebraska on November 5, 1941, the youngest of four children born to Arthur Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Kresser) Lennemann. Jim received his education from Orleans Public School, graduating from Orleans High School with the class of 1959.
On July 18, 1964 he was united in marriage to Ann M. Sweet and to this union one daughter, Angela Marie was born. The family made their home in Beatrice and Cortland, Nebraska prior to settling in Lincoln. Throughout Jim's career he enjoyed being self-employed and focused his efforts on taking care of his rental properties.
He was a member of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln. Jim loved attending his grandchildren's school activities and enjoyed collecting model cars.
Besides his parents; Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lennemann and brother, Jack Lennemann.
He leaves to celebrate his life; his wife of 51 years, Ann Lennemann of Lincoln; his daughter, Angie Alberts and her husband, Tim of Lincoln; two grandchildren: Ansley and Trevin; one sister, Marian Sister Elizabeth Lennemann of Waverly, Nebraska; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Jim's honor and kindly suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Lincoln or to the donor's choice.
