Jane Ann Weeder, 61 years of age, of Atlanta, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at her home in Atlanta, surrounded by her family. Jane was born on May 3, 1956 in Kearney, Nebraska, the youngest of three children born to Arden V. and Florence A. (Anderson) Dossett. She received her education from Holdrege Public Schools, graduating from Holdrege High School with the class of 1974. Jane then pursued higher education at Kearney State College.

Following her education, Jane began working in her lifelong career in the glass business. On February 21, 1981 she was united in marriage to Stanley O. Weeder, and the couple were blessed with three children: Marcy, Derek, and Angelin. They made their home on the edge of Atlanta. Jane was employed by General Glass in Holdrege since 1977, and after their marriage she and Stan purchased the business where they worked side-by-side together as they owned and operated General Glass in Holdrege for the next 22 years.

Jane loved the outdoors, whether it was riding the lawn mower, or hunting for coyotes with Stan; she was most comfortable when she was in the great outdoors. Jane was also an avid bowler for many years. Most of all, Jane loved to go antiquing. After finding her treasures, she could often find a use of the antique in her home, or a special gift for her grandchildren. She was a founding member of the Heartland Cruiser Car Club in Holdrege, and many family memories were made driving to car shows throughout the state. She loved attending her kids sporting events; demolition derbies; and horse shows. When the grandkids came into the picture, they were the highlight of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dean and Dorothy Weeder; brother-in-law, Doug Sikes; and a nephew, Tad Dossett.

Jane leaves to celebrate her life; her husband of 37 years, Stan Weeder of Atlanta; her three children: Marcy Stephens and her husband, Craig of Pleasanton, Nebraska; Derek Weeder and his significant other, Coral Fries of Loomis, Nebraska; and Angie Johnston and her husband, J.J. of Bertrand, Nebraska; six grandchildren: Cassie and Terry Stephens; Aspyn and Hendrix Weeder; and Jaysea and Ryker Johnston; one great-granddaughter, Victoria Hoffman; two brothers: Ted Dossett and his wife, Betty Lou of Holdrege, and Jim Dossett and his wife, Luanne of Silverthorne, Colorado; brother-in-law, David Weeder and his wife, Janice of Loomis; sisters-in-law: Pam Taylor and her husband, Steve of Branson, Missouri; Diane Sikes of Holdrege; and Kathy (Weeder) Branson of Holdrege; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation, or memorial book signing the family is honoring Jane's wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in Jane's honor, and will be designated at a later date.
