Jason Charles Roethke, 45 years of age, of Orleans, Nebraska, formerly of Denver, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska, after suffering a brain aneurysm. Jason was able to give the ultimate gift of life to others and will live on through multiple donor matches.
Jason was born on December 13, 1976, in Denver, the younger of two sons, born to Walter C. and Sandra L. (Roth) Roethke. He received his education from Cherry Creek Public Schools in Denver. Following his education, he worked many jobs in sales and customer service.
Jason then owned and operated his own landscape company, Affinity Gardens, for nine years. He enjoyed being outdoors and creating different landscapes for his customers.
In 2004, he was united in marriage to Jennifer C. Atton at the Jefferson County Courthouse in Golden, Colorado. The couple were blessed with three children: Ariana, Alexander, and Axton. The family moved to Orleans in 2018, and Jason continued to work on landscape projects and also farmed. The family enjoyed many memories at Harlan County Lake, especially boating, and fishing. Jason was a member of the New Wine Fellowship. He enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, and working on cars.
Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Walter "Scott" Roethke.
Jason leaves to celebrate his life his wife, Jennifer Roethke of Orleans; his three children: Ariana, Alexander, and Axton; his mother, Sandra Roethke of Denver and his father, Walter C. Roethke; along with other relatives, and many friends.
There will be no memorial book signing, visitation, or viewing. The family has chosen cremation.
A memorial has been established in Jason's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
