Jeannette June Henning, 77 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at her daughter's home in Holdrege. Jeannette was born June 19, 1937 at Cedar Bluff, Kansas, the fourth of nine children born to Devere E. and Doris I. (McKillip) Larington. She received her primary education from the Burnt Hill School in Frontier County and then attended Red Willow High School, east of McCook, graduating with the class of 1956.
Following her education, Jeannette was united in marriage to Kent Bennett in 1957 and to this union three children were born: Warren, Carrie and Jeanne. In the late 1970's and early 1980's, she was the owner/operator of the Home Service Appliance Store in Chappell, Nebraska. In her retirement years, Jeannette enjoyed selling Luzier Cosmetics.
On September 15, 1984, she was united in marriage to David "Lyle" Henning at Sidney, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Chappell, until moving to Holdrege in 2005 to be near family. While in Holdrege, she attended the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed throwing horse-shoes in her earlier years, attending garage sales, sewing, dancing, traveling, loved to garden, especially tending to her flower and vegetable garden and most of all the time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two brothers: Nile Larington and Devere Larington, Jr. in infancy and son-in-law, Bob Peterson.
Jeannette leaves to mourn her passing her three children: Warren Bennett of Lincoln, Nebraska, Carrie Nelson and her husband, Mark of Holdrege and Jeanne Kindall of Holdrege; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters: Roeene Frank of Lincoln, Ardis Roche of Phoenix, Arizona, Delores Howell and her husband, Gary of Aurora, Nebraska, and Linda Eppinger and her husband, Tom of Phoenix; two brothers: Loren Larington of McCook, and Dale Larington and his wife, Terry of Ogallala, Nebraska; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
