Memorial Services for Jennifer L. Vaughn will be conducted from the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with Father Thomas Lux, officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Fruita, Colorado.

Jennifer Louise Vaughn, 54 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at her home in Holdrege. She was born March 20, 1954 at McCook, Nebraska, the fourth of eight children of Kenneth and Helen (Kennedy) Vaughn. She received her primary education at District #41 in Red Willow County, north of McCook. Jennifer then attended Trenton Public Schools and graduated from Culbertson High School with the class of 1972.

She then pursued higher education to receive her certification to be a Certified Nursing and Medical Aide, a field that she was employed in for many years. Most recently she had been employed by Christian Homes in Holdrege and at the time of her passing she was working part-time at the Holdrege Daily Citizen in Circulation.

Jennifer enjoyed researching Genealogy, cooking, crocheting and caring for her dog, Sunny. She was involved with the Lone Star 4-H Club and enjoyed volunteering with the kids activities.

She leaves to mourn her passing her two sons: Shawn Cosgrove and Jeremiah Cosgrove, both of Holdrege; her mother, Helen Vaughn of Omaha, Nebraska; four sisters: Kathleen Vaughn of Sterling, CO, Susan Reents and her husband, Bill of Omaha, Nancy Danley of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Barbara Green and her husband, Rick "Pokey" Green of Holdrege; one brother, Kevin Vaughn of Roosevelt, Washington; sister-in-law, Kathy Vaughn of Iliff, CO; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers: Thomas and Kenny Vaughn.

There will be no visitation, the family is honoring Jennifer's wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
