Private Funeral Services for Joetta L. Craig will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Wine Fellowship in Orleans, Nebraska with Pastor Lana Dake officiating. A Public Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Orleans Cemetery at Orleans, Nebraska.
Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic; current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for Faith-Based Services will be followed. The Joetta's family sincerely encourages each person to make their decision whether to attend the service based on the best interest of your health, and that of your community. Joetta Louise Craig, 69 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, formerly of Orleans, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at her home in Holdrege. Joetta was born on March 5, 1951, at the Republican Valley Hospital in Orleans, Nebraska, the youngest of ten children, born to Henry and Lena Sina (Adams) Beck. She received her primary education and graduated from Orleans Public Schools, with the class of 1969.
On September 10, 1974, Joetta was blessed with the birth of her son, Eric Spencer Beck.
On November 9, 1995, Joetta was united in marriage to Dannie Ray Craig in Alma. The couple made their home in Orleans. Joetta worked at Becton-Dickinson for over 35 years.
Joetta's passion was her family. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and working her word books.
Joetta was preceded in death by; son, Eric Spencer Beck on December 24, 1996; her parents; and her five brothers: Charles, Clarence, John, Kenneth, and Dean.
Joetta leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Dannie Craig of Phillipsburg, Kansas and Holdrege; two granddaughters: Melani and Emma Bantam; two brothers: Ronnie Beck; and Donnie Beck, both of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters: Helen Rhoades of Orleans; and Phyllis Shurtz of Eufaula, Alabama; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma, Nebraska.
A memorial has been established in Joetta's honor and kindly suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
