John Chris Lubeck

Private Family Graveside Service for John C. Lubeck will be held at a later date at the Stamford Cemetery in Stamford, Nebraska.

John Chris Lubeck, 66 years of age, of Alma, Nebraska, departed this life on Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home in Alma.  He was born on December 14, 1951 in Holdrege, Nebraska, the eldest son born to Herman E. and Frances Gale (Smith) Lubeck.  John received his education from Stamford Public Schools, graduating from Stamford High School with the class of 1971.

Following his education, John remained at home, helping with the family farming operation until his father's passing in 1985. John continued to farm alongside his mother for one more year, and then began a career as a truck driver, hauling silage for local farmers. For several years, he also worked as an aide at the Colonial Villa in Alma.

John was an active member of the Word Teaching Center Church in Alma, where he formed many friendships.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Wayne Shrauger.

John leaves to celebrate his life; his two sisters: Linda Lee Shrauger of Superior, Nebraska; and Judy Martin and her husband, Lyle of Orleans, Nebraska; his brother, Harlan Eugene Lubeck of Rapid City, South Dakota; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in John's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
