Judy was born March 1, 1945 in Huron, South Dakota, the eldest of two children born to John and Vivian "Susie" (Hofer) Kleinsasser.
Following her education, Judy was united in marriage on December 12, 1962 to Richard Moore, and to this union four children were born: Scott, Dawn, Brian and Todd. The family made their home in Huron.

On November 26, 1997, Judy was united in marriage to Ed Olson and she welcomed his sons: Tragg and Pete into the family.
Judy was the owner/operator of East Avenue Pub for a few years, and was the current owner of Holdrege Heights Apartments.
Family was most important in her life, and she enjoyed spending time with all of her loved ones. She had many interests and hobbies including: watching NASCAR, eating candy, shopping, was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, and loved her riding lawn mower as she maintained her yard. Those that knew Judy, can witness she didn't let any grass grow under her feet. She was always on the go.
