Funeral Services for Kale Michael Soneson will be conducted from the Bethel Lutheran Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Darrel Wissmann, officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.
Kale Michael Soneson, 8 months and 3 days of age, of rural Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Children's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska following a courageous battle with Tricuspid Atresia with transposition of the great arteries. Kale was born May 17, 2010 at Holdrege, the son of Brent and Abbie (Anderson) Soneson. Kale was baptized on July 22, 2010 at the Children's Hospital. He was an amazing little boy, whose courage and will to live was evident every day. He was a blessing and inspiration to his parents, family and the entire community. Kale's big blue eyes and his beautiful smile touched the hearts of many people and will always be remembered.
Kale's Bible verse was so fitting and personalized to his life. Joshua 1:9, Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord Your God will be with you wherever you go.
He leaves to mourn his passing his parents: Brent and Abbie Soneson of rural Holdrege; grandparents: Allen and Gale Anderson, Mike and Marcia Soneson and Shelley and Tom Brenn all of Holdrege; great-grandparents: LeRoy and Dora Mae Sundquist, Richard and Ilene Anderson, Gordon Soneson, Edna Suhr, Jim and Emily Brenn, and Eileen Fouts all of Holdrege; aunts and uncles: Jamie and LaRon Rooks, Lindsay Anderson, Dylan Sullivan, Blake Anderson, Ethan Soneson, Kaylie Hollertz, Hunter Brenn, Heather and Chris McQuillan and Brooke and Greg Wheeler; cousins: Gabby Rooks and Carson and Griffin Wheeler; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Kale was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Gordon Suhr, Lucille Soneson and Kenneth Fouts.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
A memorial has been established in his memory and will be designated at a later date.
