A Funeral Service for A. Katherine Stuehm will be conducted on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Mitch Ivey officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Ft. McPhersen National Cemetery, south of Maxwell, Nebraska.

Mrs. Stuehm, 85, of Irving, Texas passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at The Casitas of Las Brisas in Irving, Texas.  She was born on April 17, 1936, at home in rural Perkins County, Nebraska, to Henry, Sr. and Anna Elizabeth (Lofing) Brott. She grew up on the family farm, attending school at Perkins County District #60.  She graduated from Madrid High School in 1953; after which she attended Business School in Omaha, Nebraska, and was employed with World Insurance Company.

She married Ronald Stuehm in 1955 and they were blessed with two sons:  Gary and Randy.  She especially enjoyed time with her family; also prayer groups; Bible studies; and Christian retreats. She was involved in the ministry of Aglow for many years and in leadership positions. She especially enjoyed her relationship with the Lord; and spending time in His presence, was most important to her.

Mrs. Stuehm was a devoted member of Grace Fellowship Church in Kearney.

Besides her parents; A. Katherine was preceded in death by:  her husband, Ronald on September 11, 2020; father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Arthur and Elva Stuehm; eight brothers: Harry Brott; Hank Brott; John (Marion) Brott; Reinholdt Brott; Walter (Norma) Brott: Leo (Twyla) and (Marguerite) Brott; William (Donna) Brott; and Marvin (Lillace) Brott; four sisters: Rosie Powell and her husband, Sy; Esther Brott; Carolyn Brott; and Lillian Brott; and t wo brothers-in-law: Laverne (Virginia) Stuehm; and Kenneth (Jane) Stuehm.

A. Katherine leaves to celebrate her life, her two sons: Gary Stuehm and his wife, Barbara of Flower Mound, Texas; and Randy Stuehm and his wife, Joan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three granddaughters: Gabrielle Bates and her husband, Caleb; Christina Kerstetter and her husband, Drew; and Anna Stuehm; one brother, Harvey Brott and his wife, Jeanne of North Platte; two sisters-in-law: Shirley Brott of North Platte; and Ethel Brott of Littleton, Colorado; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, with the family greeting from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A memorial has been established in her honor, and kindly suggested to Grace Fellowship Church in Kearney or to the charity of the donor's choice.
