Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen Dietz will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Father Jamie Hottovy and Father Harlan Waskowiak as Concelebrants.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at Orleans.

Kathleen Dietz, 81, of Orleans, went home to the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at her daughter's home near Kearney, Nebraska with her loving family by her side.  Kathleen was born March 22, 1936, at the family home north of Orleans, the sixth of ten children born to George and Anna (Hennessey) Graff. She received her education from the Orleans Public Schools and graduated from Orleans High School with the class of 1953.

On June 4, 1953, she was united in marriage to Cecil R. Dietz and to this union, four daughters were born: Nancy, Janet, Cindy and Kim. The family made their home on a farm near Orleans where Kathleen and Cecil engaged in farming for many years.

Kathleen was a faithful daughter of Christ and a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar Society.

She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family.

Besides her parents and her beloved husband, Cecil of 62 years, who passed away in 2015; Kathleen was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughters:  Nancy Glenn and her husband, Donald of Elizabeth, Colorado; Janet Muthart and her husband, Jim of Kearney, Nebraska; Cindy Ellis of Holdrege, Nebraska; and Kim Erickson and her husband, Darryl of Cheyenne, Wyoming; eight grandchildren, Erik Glenn and his wife, Shelby of Parker, Colorado; Thomas Glenn and his wife, Meg of Krakow, Poland; Nathan Muthart of Gypsum, Colorado; Nicholas Muthart of Vero Beach, Florida; Tanner Ellis and his wife, Barbara of Kearney; Hunter Ellis of Daytona Beach, Florida; Samantha and Elizabeth Erickson of Cheyenne; a great-grandson, Theodore Glenn;  three sisters: Sharon Jenniges of Lamberton, Minnesota, Carolyn Poore of Hastings, Nebraska and Marilyn Campbell of Beaver City, Nebraska; one brother, Jack Graff of Orleans;  along with numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans.  Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. at the church on Sunday.

A memorial has been established in her honor and will be designated at a later date.
