Kenneth John "Kenny" Jackson, 68 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at his home in Holdrege.  Kenneth was born February 13, 1949 at Marshalltown, Iowa, to Albert and Virginia (Stone) Jackson.  He received his education from Marshalltown.  To further his education, Kenny moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to attain his heavy equipment / crane operator's certification.  Kenny then returned to Marshalltown, and was employed as a crane operator building bridges in Iowa, and later in Nebraska, New Mexico, and Texas.

Kenny was united in marriage to Roberta Hartwell, and to this union two daughters were born:  Jody and Sonya.  The family made their home in Marshalltown.  Later in years, Kenny moved to Nebraska, where he met Linda Stichka, and the couple were married on October 20, 1992.  This October they would have celebrated their 25 th Wedding Anniversary.

Kenny was an amateur Ham radio operator, and enjoyed communicating by radio with people from around the world.  In his spare time he enjoyed reading.  He was truly an outdoorsman at heart, working in his yard was therapy at its best.  He was an avid Nebraska Football fan, and enjoyed NASCAR as well.  He and Linda enjoyed Sundays as their devotional time together as a couple.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Jackson; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Anton and Mary Laveta Stichka.

Kenny leaves to celebrate his life; his wife, Linda Jackson of Holdrege; two daughters:  Jody Wallen and her husband, Kenny of Marshalltown, and Sonya Gonzales and her husband, Jay of Arizona; his mother, Virginia Jackson of Marshalltown; six grandchildren:  Brad Moetler, Gustavo and Kayden Wallen, Damian, Dante, and Dasio Gonzales; sister-in-law, Gloria Stairs and her husband, Randell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
