A celebration of life for Kenneth A. Thomas will be held at a later date.

Kenneth Allen Thomas, 74 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Kenny was born in Sterling, Colorado, on May 25, 1952. Kenny was the third of eight children raised by John and Laverne (Humiston) Beeson. He received his education from Sterling, Colorado, and graduated early to join the United States Navy.

Kenny was united in marriage to Diane Collup, and to this union three children were born: Crystal, Kenneth Jr., and Amber. The marriage later ended in divorce. He later met Diane Peterson, and they have been together for over 27 years.

Kenny loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and going camping. He liked country music and going dancing. He had a huge heart and would be there to help out if you ever needed something. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Elks Club, and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Laverne Beeson; his biological father, James Thomas; one son, Ronnie Minear; five brothers: Danny Thomas; Roger Thomas; Victor Thomas; David Thomas; Richard "Peanut" Thomas.

Kenny is survived by his significant other, Diane Peterson of Holdrege; four children: Dennis Fetzer of Sterling, Colorado; Crystal Thomas of Jefferson, Iowa; Kenneth Thomas Jr. and his wife Tara, of Miami, Oklahoma; and Amber Thomas of Jefferson; several grandchildren; two sisters: Janice Carman of Gibbon, Nebraska; Gloria Hinrichs and her husband Jim of Lincoln, Missouri; two sisters-in-law: Cheryl Thomas; Kathy Thomas; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. The family is honoring Kenny's wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in Kenny's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
