Memorial Services for Kenneth M. Tschabrun will be conducted from the St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jami Anderson, officiating. Inurnment will be at the Orleans Cemetery in Orleans, Nebraska at 1:30 p.m.
Kenneth M. Tschabrun, 70 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. He was born January 5, 1937 at Gandy, Nebraska, the second of three children of Max and Helen (Shaffer) Tschabrun. Kenneth received his primary education from Callaway, Grand Island and Hastings schools and graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1955. Kenneth was inducted into the U.S. Navy on August 9, 1955 and served his country until his honorable discharge on August 7, 1959.
On July 3, 1962 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Davis in Boulder, Colorado and to this union two children were born: Dawn and Kevin. The family made their home in Holdrege, where Kenneth worked as an electrician for Erickson Electric, Reiss Electric and Tri-Co Electric before starting his own electrical contracting business, Tschabrun Electric.
Kenneth was a member of the St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Holdrege, where he served as Jr. & Sr. Warden. He loved the time spent with his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter, Madison was the joy of his life.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Kathleen Tschabrun of Holdrege; daughter, Dawn Tschabrun and her partner, Sally Hunt of Las Cruces, New Mexico; son, Kevin Tschabrun and his wife, Tammy of Hildreth, Nebraska; two grandchildren: Justin Bunger and Katie and Tyler Bunger; great-granddaughter, Madison Bunger; sister, Joan Chaney and her husband, Rich of Omaha, Nebraska; and brother, Robert "Bob" Tschabrun of Stanley, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation, the family has chosen cremation.
