Kent Bill Regier, 68 years of age, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his home. Kent was born in Henderson, Nebraska, on November 3, 1956, the second of three children, born to Pete and Ardena (Siebert) Regier. He received his education from McCool Junction Public School through 4th grade. The family then moved to Loomis, Nebraska, where he attended and graduated from Loomis Public School with the class of 1975. He pursued higher education at Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois, for one year, where he played basketball, and then transferred to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and graduated in 1980.

Following his education, Kent farmed with his family, and in the winter, he drove the snowcat machine, grooming the ski slopes at Copper Mountain, Colorado.

On July 27, 1996, Kent was united in marriage to Diane Ekberg at First Baptist Church in Holdrege. The couple made their home in Brighton. Kent was a semi-truck owner-operator and was an over-the-road truck driver at the beginning of his career, from Denver to Los Angeles once a week, and unloaded LTL freight. For the last several years, he drove a side dump trailer and was able to be home every night.

Kent enjoyed golfing, skiing, and telling stories. He knew everything about sports; he could tell you who the players were for the Nebraska Huskers each year and where they went on to play. He was a member of the NRA.

Kent was preceded in death by his dad, Pete Regier; his grandparents: Bill and Marie Siebert; and David and Elizabeth Regier; mother-in-law, Gloria Ekberg; and two brothers-in-law: Don Ekberg Jr.; and Mike Johnson.

Kent is survived by his wife, Diane Regier of Brighton; his dog, Nellie; his mom, Ardena Regier of Imperial, Nebraska; two brothers: Keith Regier and his wife, Sherryn of Imperial; Val Regier of Aurora, Colorado; father-in-law, Don Ekberg of Holdrege; sisters-in-law: Cheryl Langenberg and her husband, Don of Holdrege; Lana Benson of Holdrege; Lisa Johnson of Holdrege; six nieces and nephews: Tiffany Friehe and her husband, Brian; Dr. Daniel Regier and his wife, Dr. Jamie; Tracy Helwich and her husband Joe; Brett Wyatt and Jep; Blake Ekberg; Lexi Ekberg; five great nieces and great nephews: Adaline and Sterling Friehe; Hailey Jameson; Emily and Hadley Helwich; and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. The family is honoring Kent's wish for cremation.
