Kim Alan Berry, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, courageously battled ALS until he peacefully passed away on August 22, 2023 at the age of 65. Kim's life was characterized by his dedication to family, his pursuit of passions, and his contributions to the community he cherished.

Born on October 24, 1957, Kim was a 1976 graduate of Holdrege High School, and a proud alumnus of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He channeled his education and talents into a fulfilling career as an accountant at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, where his meticulous work left a lasting impact on those he served.

Beyond his professional achievements, Kim was a man of diverse interests. He found joy in disc golf, and his competitive spirit shone through when watching and coaching football. Euchre nights with friends brought laughter and camaraderie. Kim's well-tended lawn was a testament to his care and attention, while fishing, hunting, and bowling provided avenues for relaxation and friendly competition. Underneath the stars, Kim would often be found sleeping, finding solace in star gazing. His appreciation for life's simple pleasures extended to smoking cigars and indulging in classic old western films.

Kim's proudest accomplishments centered around his family. He was a loving father to his daughter, Chelsea Bullock, and his son, Derek Berry. Kim's guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love shaped them into the remarkable individuals they are today. He found joy in watching them grow and succeed, and their accomplishments were a source of immense pride.

A pillar of faith, Kim was an esteemed member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church for 30 years. His commitment to his faith community was emblematic of his compassionate nature and his willingness to support those around him.

Kim is survived by his cherished wife, Jill Berry, who stood by his side throughout their shared journey. His legacy continues through his immediate family, including his brother, Rodney Berry (Maxine), and sister, Sheryl Olson. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews whose lives were illuminated by his laughter, guidance, and warmth.

Kim Alan Berry's legacy lives on through the love he shared, the memories he created, and the positive impact he had on those around him. His unwavering strength and resilience during his battle with ALS serves as an inspiration to all who were fortunate to know him.
