A Mass for Kristin M. (Mlnarik) Belgum will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Holdrege, Nebraska, with Father Jay Buhman as Celebrant.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the O'Neill Cemetery, O'Neill, Nebraska.

Kristin Mary (Mlnarik) Belgum, 53 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at her home in Holdrege, surrounded by her immediate family. Kristin was born in O'Neill, on December 27, 1972, the youngest of four children, born to Richard F. "Dick" and Mary Lois (Jansen) Mlnarik. She received her primary education from a St. Mary's Catholic Grade School and then attended and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School, with the class of 1991.  Kristin pursued higher education from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and attained a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

Kristin met the love of her life, Greg Belgum at a wedding in 1996.  On August 23, 1997, the two were married at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill.  The couple made their home in Kearney where she worked at Good Sam Hospital, following her education. In 2009 Kristin and Greg moved to their forever home in Holdrege, Nebraska. In 2014 Kristin started working in the Phelps Memorial Infusion Clinic. Then in 2019, she transitioned into a role for Phelps Memorial Orthopedic Clinic, where she stayed.

Kristin was many things; a devoted Catholic, a loving wife and mom, a loyal friend and not only a source of strength but also light for all those who knew her. She had a way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and deeply loved through her everyday actions. She found great joy in spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and creating memories that her loved ones will cherish forever. Kristin lived her life with grace that made the world feel a whole lot brighter for everyone who walked alongside her. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Chapter H, P.E.O. of Holdrege.

Kristin was preceded in death by her grandparents:  John and Margaret Jansen; and Joe and Cel Mlnarik; and father-in-law, Robert A. "Bob" Belgum.

Kristin is survived by her husband, Greg Belgum of Holdrege; two daughters: Kelsey Belgum of Kansas City, Kansas; and Megan Belgum of Lincoln, Nebraska; her parents:  Dick and Mary Lois Mlnarik of O'Neill; her siblings:  Patti Hawkins and husband, Gary of Kearney, Nebraska; Bill Mlnarik and wife, Kim of Linwood, Nebraska; and Nancy Schmitz and husband, Matt of O'Neill, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Cheryl Pilkington and husband, Ralph of Albion, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Jeff Belgum and wife, Tonya of Kansas City; two sisters-in-law: Tommi Belgum of Albion; and Shelly Frank and husband, Garron of Page, Nebraska along with nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.  Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her love and spirit will continue through the people who loved her most.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege, with the family greeting.  The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
