Celebration of Life Service for Kyle A. Warning will be held on Friday, 7, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bertrand, Nebraska with Pastor Erin Dunlavy officiating. Inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m., in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska with military honors provided by the North Platte Honor Guard in conjunction with the United States Navy Funeral Honors Team.
Kyle Allen Warning, 71 years of age, of rural Elwood, Nebraska, passed away with his wife, Gloria by his side on Monday, February 3, 2020, at his home southeast of Elwood, following a valiant nine year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Kyle was born April 10, 1948, at Benkelman, Nebraska, the third of eight children to Boyce and Shirley (Prideaux) Warning. He received his primary education from a rural school near Benkelman, and then graduated from Benkelman High School with the class of 1967. Following his education, Kyle served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on October 31, 1969. The devotion of service to their country ran in the family, as Kyle had two brothers: Charles and Delbert that were Seaman as well.
On July 29, 1970, he was united in marriage to Gloria J. Hardon and to this union three children were born: Melanie, Michelle, and Justin. The family made their home at Max, Nebraska, until relocating to Atwood, Kansas and later settled to Bertrand. They raised their family in Bertrand, and after the kids were grown, Kyle and Gloria purchased their acreage southeast of Elwood in Gosper County. Throughout the years, Kyle was a farmhand for Carlson Brothers south of Overton, Nebraska for 12 years; and then worked for High Farms / Ag Navigator for 27 years until his health began to fail. Farming and driving truck was his passion.
Kyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, old tractors and cars, arrowhead hunting, airplanes, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Besides his parents; he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles.
He leaves to celebrate his life; his wife of almost 50 years, Gloria Warning of rural Elwood; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Albert and Joaquina Hardon of Atwood; his three children: Melanie J. Seegers and her husband, Mike of Lake in the Hills, Illinois; Michelle R. Hosman and her special friend, Roger Penn of Piedmont, South Dakota; and Justin A. Warning and his wife, Tiffany of Holdrege; seven grandchildren: Lindsay Warning and her fiancé, Isaac Hueftle; McKenna and Luke Hosman; Bailey and Austin Seegers; and Wyatt and Jordyn Warning; three brothers: Delbert Warning of Atwood; Keith Warning and his wife, Tanya of Hayden, Colorado; and Darwin Warning and his wife, Carole of Benkelman; three sisters: Connie Bunning and her husband, Jack of Stapleton, Nebraska; Tamara Hinton and her husband, Lawrence of North Platte, Nebraska; and Regina Lauby and her husband, Justin of Elwood; sister-in-law, Amber Harden and her husband, Mick Ranney of Lawrence, Kansas; brother-in-law, Carlos Hardon of Atwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends, and his dog, Annie.
There will be no visitation, or memorial book signing. The family is honoring Kyle's wish for cremation.
