Memorial Mass for Lana J. Tripe will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Father Jamie Hottovy officiating. Rosary will be held prior to the services at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Lana Jean Tripe, 70 years of age, of Orleans, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly at her house on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Lana was born September 15, 1944 at Oxford, Nebraska, the eldest of two daughters born to Archie and Francis (Hergenrother) Dusenberry. She received her education and graduated from Oxford High School with class of 1962. She pursued higher education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for two years, working toward a Degree in Speech and Language Arts.
On April 4, 1975, Lana was united in marriage to Robert L. "Bob" Tripe in Las Vegas, Nevada. The family made their home in Orleans.
Lana enjoyed working with beads, making jewelry, and loved animals. Lana loved to be outdoors. She was very proud of her yard, especially her flowers and vegetable garden. Lana enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Lana was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to mourn her passing; her husband of 40 years, Bob of Orleans; children: Torrey Tripe of Clatskanie, Oregon, Rhett Tripe and his wife, Kris of Orleans, Craig Tripe and his wife, Lori of Alma, Nebraska, Melanie Fischer and her husband, Jeff of Alma, and Melinda Walker and her husband, Kevin of Auburn, Nebraska; seven grandchildren: Jon Fischer and his wife, Leah of York, Nebraska, Megan Fischer of Lincoln, Nebraska, Christopher Tripe of Alma, Samantha Laux and her husband, John of Alma, Stephanie Tripe of Alma, Rachel Walker and Lindy Walker both of Auburn; one great-grandson, Lane Laux and his anticipated sibling; sister: Roxanne Wolzen and her husband, Dennis of Oxford, Nebraska; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Book Signing will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans, with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
A memorial has been established in Lana's honor and will be designated at a later date.
