A Memorial Mass for Larry L. Anderson will be conducted from the All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Thomas Lux, officiating. Private Family Inurnment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege prior to the Memorial Mass with military honors provided by Martin Horn American Legion Post #66 in conjunction with the U.S. Army National Guard Military Honors Team.

Larry Lee Anderson, 65 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at his home in Holdrege. Larry was born on March 4, 1945 and in 1946, he was adopted by A.L. "Andy" and Mildred I. "Mid" (Malone) Anderson.

He received his education from Holdrege Public Schools, graduating from Holdrege High School. Following his education, Larry was inducted into the U.S. Army on June 15, 1966 and serviced his country during Vietnam until his honorable discharge on July 2, 1968. In 1972, he was married to Jean Terhune and they made their home in Wahoo, Nebraska and Fort Wayne, Indiana. Through the years, Larry was employed in hospital laboratories and worked in sales for the Granger Company for several years. In later years, Larry returned back to Holdrege, where he resided until his passing.

He enjoyed playing the organ at the different churches including the Bethany Lutheran Church of Axtell, Nebraska and the All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege. He has a special place in his heart for animals, especially cats.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and special friend, Marguerite E. Weidenhaft in 2008.

He leaves to mourn his passing an aunt, several cousins, other relatives and friends.

Rosary will be held by the Legion of Mary at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the church.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial has been established in his memory and will be designated at a later date.
