Larry D. Crawford

A Graveside Service for Larry Dean Crawford Jr. will be held at a later date.

Larry Dean Crawford Jr., 62 years of age, of Bertrand, Nebraska, passed away at his home on June 24, 2026. Larry was born on November 22, 1963, in Cozad, Nebraska, to Larry Dean Crawford Sr. and Jo Del Crawford. He spent his younger years in Lexington, Nebraska, before moving to Hendley, Nebraska, at the age of 12. He graduated from Beaver City High School with the Class of 1982.

Larry spent much of his life farming in the Bertrand area and was highly skilled in drywall work. He took pride in working with his hands, and there wasn't much he couldn't fix.

Larry was known for his ornery sense of humor, his hardworking nature, and his love for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers or the Denver Broncos, or spending time with his dogs, Larry found joy in the things he loved most. But his greatest love was feeling the tug on the end of his fishing line. Being "Funcle Larry" was a role he truly loved, and his nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Dean Crawford Sr. and Jo Del Crawford.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosell, and his stepchildren; his sisters, Lori Brede of Kearney, Susan High of Kearney, and Lana (Mike) Reed of Columbus; his nieces and nephews, Travis, Tyler, Kyle, Cahle, Jerad, Megan, Jenesis, Mikah, Jordyn, Taylor, and Savannah; along with many beloved aunts and uncles, extended family members, friends, and all those who were fortunate to know him.

Larry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for family, his loyalty to those he cared about, and his unmistakable sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. GBR!

There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. The family is honoring Larry's wish for cremation following a private family viewing.
