Graveside Services for Larry V. Waggoner will be held at the Alma Cemetery, Alma, Nebraska on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Scott Randall officiating.
Larry Vernon Waggoner, 60 years of age, of rural Republican City, Nebraska, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Larry was born September 11, 1954, the youngest of two children born to Bill and Vera (Schippert) Waggoner in Alma. He received his primary education and graduated from Republican City High School, graduating with the class of 1973. Larry pursued higher education from Hastings Community College before returning home to farm.
He was married to Paige Bennett and to this union three children were born: Jacob, Chance and Logan. The family made their home in Republican City. Larry and Paige later divorced.
On July 17, 1999, Larry was united in marriage to Brenda Noren. Two families were blended as one, as Larry accepted Rebecca, Kerry and Jenny, as his own daughters.
Larry enjoyed farming and his cattle. He enjoyed golfing, hunting deer, watching Husker football and watching his old Western movies. Larry enjoyed life to the fullest. He treasured the time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Waggoner; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and step-father, Howard J. Losey.
He leaves to mourn his passing; his wife, Brenda Waggoner of rural Republican City, Nebraska; children: Jake Waggoner and his fiancé, Andrea Taylor of Republican City, Chance Waggoner of Kearney, Logan Waggoner of Kearney, Becky Thulin and husband, Nick of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kerry Boehler of Lincoln and Jenny Boehler of Norton, Kansas; three grandchildren: Evan and Hudson Thulin and Braylin Pettit; mother, Vera Losey of Republican City; brother: Scott Losey and his wife, Brenda of Republican City; sisters: Kathy Gealy and her husband, Steve of Lincoln and Sue Losey of Kearney; along with a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma.
A memorial has been established in Larry's honor and will be designated at a later date.
