Leatha La Von Seaton, 69 years of age, of Holdrege, joined her Lord and Savior, in Heaven on January 19, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 21, 1953, in Ainsworth, Nebraska, the sixth of seven children, born to Bill and Dorothy (Hamilton) Robinson. She was full of energy all 69 years of her earthly life and never missed an opportunity to love on her family.
The Robinson's moved to the Bayard area in 1955 and she enjoyed her childhood on the farm with several animals she grew to love, most recently a cat who misses her dearly. She graduated from Bayard High School in 1971. Leatha met Mike Seaton in the summer of 1974 and they were married in Noble, Oklahoma on September 3, 1974. They shared 47 beautiful years of marriage with three children being born on their journey of love: Matthew, Kelli, and Tausha. Each of her children came to adore Leatha and Mike, but none more so than their grandchildren. Both left a lasting legacy that her family will always remember and pass on to their own families.
She loved her grandchildren dearly and was proud of the adults they were becoming, and most recently overjoyed to see her youngest grandson, Jeremiah, graduate. The last year, her fight against cancer was for her grandchildren, she made memories with her family and enjoyed one last ride to see Christmas lights before returning to her daughter's house to finish her journey. Lots of loving talks and memories made there will never be forgotten. She was so thankful to the nurses and doctors who cared for her and had such compassion for all their patients.
She loved helping people, after graduating from WNCC in Scottsbluff, Nebraska she began her nursing career and joined the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It was during her time there, she met her best friend, Sharon Blake and they shared many coffee dates through the years.
Leatha's passions were quilting and genealogy, both of which her husband helped her in any way he could. They loved to make memories, playing games, camping, and traveling with their kids and grandkids.
In 2005 they moved to Holdrege to be closer to their grandkids.
Leatha was preceded in death by her husband in March of 2022, her parents, three brothers: Richard (Bonnie Ann) Robinson; Calvin Robinson; and Roger Robinson; two sisters: Alice; and Coni; father and mother-in-law, Orville and Nellie Seaton; four brothers-in-law: Ray Seaton; Billy Seaton; Fuzz Seaton; and Johnny (Beverly) Seaton; four sisters-in-law: Hazel (Larry) Baker; Helen (J.J.)
