Memorial Services for Lila L. Case will be conducted from the United Methodist Church in Bertrand, Nebraska on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Connie Carr and Chaplain DeWane Dow, officiating. Her remains will be buried next to her husband, Bob in Gordon, Nebraska at a later date.

Lila Lee (Lorenz) Case, age 84, of Bertrand, Nebraska joined her husband Robert Henry (Bob) Case in eternity on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 in Holdrege, Nebraska. Lila was born near Casper, Wyoming on September 27, 1922 the fourth of five children born to Frank and Hazel (Dewing) Lorenz. She attended school in Batesland, South Dakota. Following her education, she was employed by the Gordon Hotel in Gordon, Nebraska.

Lila was married to Robert H. Case (Bob) on March 16, 1946 in Gordon, and to this union, three daughters were born: Donna, Judy, and Cathy. The family lived in Gordon, NE until 1979. They moved to Lowell, IN for a short time and then settled in Oconomowoc, WI. They remained in Oconomowoc until shortly before Bob's death in 1996. Lila then moved to Bertrand, NE.

Lila loved to play cards, do circle word puzzles, go for breakfast with her lady friends at a local restaurant and spending time at the local senior center. Lila was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bertrand, NE.

She is survived by her three daughters: Donna Gentry of Lowell, Indiana; Judy Kugler and her husband, Terry of Bertrand and Cathy Kuxhaus and her husband, Monty of South Beloit, Illinois; eight grand children, Scott Kugler, Kristi Livingston and her husband, Eric; Robert Kugler and his wife, Joey; Michael Kuxhaus, William Kugler, Regina Clodfelter and her husband, Matt; Dana Christopherson and her husband, Rick and Amanda Kuxhaus; 7 great-grandchildren: Taylor Kugler, Jared Kulger, Cailey Christopherson, Devin Livingston, Elizabeth Kugler, Owen Clodfelter and Jonah Clodfelter. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Henry Case; two sisters Evelyn Slaby and Mabel Case; two brothers Kenny and Frank Lorenz and her great-grandson Austin Robert Christopherson.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

There will be no visitation the family has chosen cremation.
