Linda Lou Workman, 72 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, (formerly of Humboldt, Nebraska) passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, Nebraska, following a battle with cancer.

Linda was born January 14, 1947, at Humboldt, the youngest of seven children to Perry and Bessie (Parker) Workman.  She received her education from Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School with the class of 1965.  Linda then pursued higher education at the Metro Tech Community College in Elkhorn, Nebraska, and then attended Cosmetology School.

Linda was united in marriage to Anthony Howe, Sr. on February 12, 1970, in Fremont, Nebraska, and to this union two sons were born:  Patrick and Anthony Jr.  With her husband, Tony serving in the Air Force, the family made their home in several locations within the United States and abroad.  During this time Linda focused her efforts raising the boys.

Linda had a lifelong love for Art and Poetry.  She was an extremely talented Artist, especially oil paintings, and she always had a special way of expressing any situation with her poetry.  A highlight of her career was writing for Hallmark.  Throughout the years, Linda also loved working in Interior Design.

Linda was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Holdrege.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by; four brothers: Perry Workman, Jr. and his wife, Jean; Clayton Workman; Dick Workman; and Hal Workman and his wife, Carolyn; one sister, Pearl Warner and her husband, Gary; and brother-in-law, Marlin Schacht.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her two sons: Patrick Howe and his wife, Amy of San Marcos, California; and Tony Howe, Jr. of Mesa, Arizona; one sister, Betty Schacht of Hooper, Nebraska; sisters-in-law: Patricia Workman of Beatrice, Nebraska; and Nancy Workman of Lincoln; her former husband and father to her children, Anthony Howe, Sr. of Concordia, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation or memorial book signing, the family is honoring Linda's wish for cremation.  Private family services will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Linda's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
