Funeral Services for Louise M. Johnson will be held at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Orleans, Nebraska on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Michael David, officiating. Interment will be held in the Orleans Cemetery.

Louise Marie Johnson, 81 years of age, of Franklin, Nebraska (formerly of Orleans, Nebraska), passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Franklin. Louise was born on January 5, 1930 at Bird City, Kansas, one of twelve children born to George and Mayme (Amack) Theye. She received her education in St. Francis, Kansas.

On July 24, 1952 she was united in marriage to Warren Calvin Johnson at Laramie, Wyoming and to this union five children were born: Steve, Arlene, Rolland, Marilyn and Rita. The couple made their home in Denver, Colorado. The family moved to Orleans, Nebraska in 1957, where Louise focused on raising her children and supporting the family. Warren passed away on May 25, 2009.

Her life was centered on her family, and enjoyed organizing family get togethers. Louise loved playing cards, board games, and most of all attending her grandchildren's activities, birthdays, and family holidays.

Besides her parents and husband, Warren, Louise was preceded in death by her daughter, Arlene Johnson; four sisters and four brothers.

She leaves to mourn her passing her four children: Steve Johnson and his wife, Connie of Kansas City, Missouri, Rolland Johnson of Orleans, Marilyn Wells and her husband, Rich of Afton, Wyoming and Rita Johnson-Snyder and her husband, Jerry of Greybull, Wyoming; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Florence Headley of Hanston, Kansas and Marie Hicks of Helena, Montana; one brother, George Theye of Liberal, Kansas; sisters-in-law: Beverly Boston and her husband, Bill of Alma, Nebraska, Hilde Johnson of Chico, California, Stella Johnson of Aurora, Nebraska and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Orleans.

A memorial has been established in her memory and will be designated at a later date.
