A Memorial Mass for Marcellina T. Streff will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Father Thomas Lux officiating with a time of fellowship following the service. A private family interment will be held prior to the service in Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska.

Marcellina Theresa (Hynes) Streff, 97 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away, on November 20, 2021, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Marcie was born in Bladen, Nebraska on December 25, 1923, the fourth of five children, born to John and Teresa (Hemberger) Hynes. She graduated from High School with the class of 1941. Marcie pursued higher education at Hastings College.
Following her education, Marcie worked at First National Bank in Hastings.
On September 23, 1944, Marcie was united in marriage to Leonard Streff at Ft. McClellan in Anniston, Alabama, while Leonard was serving his country. On June 27, 1946, Leonard was honorably discharged from the Army and they returned home to Nebraska. To this union five children were born: Rodney, Kathleen, Constance, Vickie and Laura. The couple made their home in Hastings, where Marcie was employed at the First State Bank and then in San Francisco, California, where she worked for the United States Naval Department while Leonard was overseas. In 1962, the family relocated to Holdrege, where Marcie cared for her family. Faith and Family were first and foremost in the couples' lives, they also enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and traveling. On November 13, 2015 Leonard preceded her in death.
She was a devoted and faithful member of the All Saints Catholic Church, where she served in many capacities: Altar Society, bible study, and a member of the Legion of Mary.
Besides her husband and parents, Marcie was preceded in death by, a great-grandson, Brenden Lawrence; sons-in-law, David T. Lawrence; and Michael Klein; two brothers: James Hynes and his wife, Agnes; and Leonard Hynes at three years of age; two sisters, Elaine Reynolds and her husband, Bud; and Evie Quinn and her husband, Paul.
Marcie leaves to celebrate her life; five children: Rod Streff and his wife, Jeanne of Florence, Arizona; Kathy Worman of Florence; Connie Johnson and her husband, Bob of Bertrand, Nebraska; Vickie Klein of Holdrege; and Lauri Bosco and her husband, John of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; 14 grandchildren: Stephanie, Keri, Kelly, Eric, Jamie, Mykalea, Joe, Kyle, Matt, Marcie, Jessica, Marcus, Tony, and Justin and their families; step-grandchildren: Andy, Ben, Molly and Katie and their families; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Agnes Billesbach of Beatrice, Nebraska; and Bette Brockman of Hastings; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 3:00 p.m.at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Marcie's honor, and kindly suggested to the All Saints Catholic Church or Holdrege Memorial Homes.
