A Memorial Service for Marilyn E. Danielson will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in rural Axtell, Nebraska with Pastor Marcia Dorn officiating. Casual attire is requested by the family for those in attendance.
A private inurnment will be held at a future time at the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.
Marilyn Elsie Danielson, 69 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on March 25, 2025, at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Marilyn was born on January 6, 1956, in Kearney, Nebraska, the youngest of four children, born to Raymond and Marie (Vest) Leoffelholz. She received her education from Kearney Catholic High School.
On December 15, 1977, she was united in marriage to Roger Danielson in Kearney, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Kearney, where Marilyn was employed at a hotel. The family then moved to Colorado where she worked for a call center and mobile automobile repair company. The family returned to Holdrege and Marilyn worked for BD until her retirement.
She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting blankets for her family. Marilyn was an avid bowler, and enjoyed camping and going for a drive, whether for a short trip or a long trip. Marilyn was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruth (Sonny) Kreutzer; and a brother-in-law, Darrel Hibberd.
Marilyn leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Roger of Holdrege; three daughters: Tina Besmer and her husband, Kenny of Loomis; Anita Lutz and her husband, Thad of Benkelman, Nebraska; Jodi Bailey and husband, Dustin of Kearney; eleven grandchildren: Tony (Sarah) Besmer; Sierra (Aaron) Schock; Dakota (Maddy) Besmer; Laynee, Ava, Bree, Cale, Harper, and Dayne Lutz; Michael Roberts; Emma Bailey; seven great-grandchildren: Ryan, Allyanna, Edyn Besmer; Colby and Miles Schock; Rhett and Bentley Besmer; sister: Viola Hibberd of Kearney; one brother: Albert Loeffelholz and wife, Jan of Riverdale, Nebraska; one brother-in-law, Brian (Alicia) Danielson of Leland, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will not be a visitation, viewing, or memorial book signing the evening prior to the service.
Memorials in Marilyn's honor are kindly suggested to the family for future designation.
