Marjorie Ann (Hanson) Baxter, 73 years of age, of Kearney, Nebraska, (formerly of Holdrege), passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020, at the Mother Hull Home in Kearney.  Marjorie was born February 21, 1947, at Holdrege, the eldest of four children to Wilmer Lee and Martha "Ruth" (Caddy) Hanson.  Marjorie grew up in Loomis, where she received her education and graduated from Loomis High School with the class of 1965.

Following her education, Marjorie was united in marriage to John Baxter and to this union two children were born:  Eric Wilmer and Danielle Vaniece.  The family made their home in Edison, Nebraska, where Marjorie focused her efforts raising their children.  In later years this marriage ended in divorce, and Marjorie relocated back to Loomis.  Throughout the years, she worked as a nurse's aide at Christian Homes Care Community.  In her later 40's she decided to pursue higher education, and graduated from University of Nebraska at Kearney with her degree in Social work.  Marjorie continued to work until her health began to fail and made her home at Sunrise View Apartments for several years.

Marjorie was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, attending movies with her good friends, and most of all loved to spend time with her grandchildren.  Special memories were formed as she taught her grandchildren how to cook!  In later years, Marjorie also enjoyed spending time at the Phelps County Senior Center.

Besides her parents; Marjorie was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Roger L. Olson.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her two children:  Eric Baxter and his wife, Heather of Holdrege; and Danielle Logan of Kearney, Nebraska; six grandchildren:  Thomas "T.J."; Haley; Brittany; and Bailey Baxter; and Garrett and Gabriel Logan; two brothers:  John Hanson and his wife, Cathy of Lexington, Nebraska; and Steve Hanson of Damar, Kansas; one sister, Shirley Olson of Holdrege; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
