Funeral Services for Marjorie E. Foster will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the North Park Assembly of God Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Brian Steinbach and Pastor Craig Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at the Fridhem Cemetery at Funk, Nebraska.
Marjorie Elaine "Marj" Foster, 84 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege. Marjorie was born September 20, 1934 in McCook, Nebraska, the eldest of five children, to Earl and Cecile Violet (Larington) Beebe. She received her primary education from a rural school in Frontier County, Nebraska and later attended McCook School.
Following her education, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Ray Foster. This union was blessed with ten children: Judy, Rose Ann, David, Gloria, Cathy, Dale, Cindy, Daniel, Tina, and Robert. They family made their home in Holdrege. Marj worked as a nurse for many years at Methodist Memorial Homes and following her retirement, worked at Christian Homes until her complete retirement in 2001.
Marj enjoyed camping, playing on the computer, tending to her garden, caring for her grandchildren and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rose Ann (Chump) Bangs; and two grandsons in infantcy, Randy Foster and Michael Foster; a great-granddaughter, Maddie Weaver; and sister, Shirley (Dean) Hanson; three brothers-in-law: Danny Frahm; Louis Parks; and Forest Dutton.
She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Lloyd Foster of Holdrege; her children: Judy Foster of McCook; David Foster and his wife, Margaret of Minden, Nebraska; Gloria Broeker and her husband, Ralph of Holdrege; Cathy High and her husband, Mark of Bertrand; Dale Foster and his wife, Wanda of Oxford, Nebraska; Cindy Clark of Lincoln, Nebraska; Daniel Foster and his wife, Judy of Loomis; Tina Strong and her husband, Stacy of Wilcox, Nebraska; and Robert Foster and his wife, Vicki of Holdrege; 30 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Lillie Corder and her husband, Jerry of Arizona; two brothers: Harold Beebe and his wife, JoAnn of McCook and Donald Beebe and his wife, Sharon of Garden Grove, Iowa; seven sisters-in-law: Ruth Louthan and her husband, Bob of Holdrege; Irma Parks of McCook; Shirley Carter and her husband, Gene of McCook; Gleni Frahm of Minden; Janet Straton of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Carla Kinne and her husband, Howard of McCook; Dorothy Kline and her husband, Dwight of Fremont, Nebraska; three brothers-in-law: Edward Foster of California; Curtis Foster and his wife, Karen of Papillion, Nebraska; and Jerry Foster and his wife, Susie of Holbrook, Nebraska; along with many extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Marj's honor and will be designated at a later date.
