A Memorial Service for Myrene R. (Schroder) Ulrichson Snyder will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Huntley United Methodist Church in Huntley, Nebraska, with Rev. Jean Clayton officiating. A private inurnment will be held at the Alma Cemetery, Alma, Nebraska.

Myrene Ruth (Schroder) Ulrichson Snyder, 83 years of age, of Alma, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society Colonial Villa in Alma. Myrene was born on June 17, 1938, in Harlan County, Nebraska, south of Alma, the third of five children, born to Walter and Helen (Kauk) Schroder. Myrene received her primary education from District #66 country school through the 4th grade and District #59 country school through the 8th grade. She then attended and graduated from Alma Public Schools, with the class of 1957.
On April 5, 1958, Myrene was united in marriage to Paul L. Ulrichson at the Methodist Church in Alma and the couple was blessed with three children: Lee, Cathy, and Robert. The family made their home on a farm east of Alma for a couple of years, and then to a farm east of Huntley until the late 1970s. Myrene and Paul then began to make their home northeast of Alma, where they farmed and raised cattle.
Together the family enjoyed many weekends at the lake, where they enjoyed camping, boating, and water skiing. On September 6, 2006, Myrene was preceded in death by Paul.
On August 30, 2008, Myrene was united in marriage to Alvin R. Snyder at the Huntley United Methodist Church by Rev. Jean Clayton. The couple enjoyed camping together, gardening, and canning tomatoes from their garden (73 quarts in 2021).
Myrene was a member of the Huntley United Methodist Church, the Legion Auxiliary; and the Dine-a-Mite Extension Club. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her cats.
Myrene was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Paul L. Ulrichson; two brothers: Harry and Pauline Schroder; Kenneth and Verlene Schroder; and a brother-in-law, John Ulrichson.
Myrene leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Alvin Snyder of Alma; Myrene's three children: Cathy Blum and her husband, John of Oshkosh, Nebraska; Lee Ulrichson and fiancé Nancy Filkin of rural Alma; and Robert Ulrichson and his wife, Kris of Lufkin, Texas; Alvin's step-children: Ronald Dunn of Omaha, Nebraska; and LeAnna Lentz and her husband, James of North Richland Hills, Texas; 10 grandchildren: Joshua Ulrichson of Huntley; Levi Wilkens and his wife, Molly of Hays, Kansas; Amanda Prochnow and her husband, Joel of Hankinson, North Dakota; Nicole Ellsworth and her husband, Aaron of McGrew, Nebraska; Zackariah Blum of Kearney, Nebraska; Hannah Blum and her significant other, Matthew Davis of Kearney; Dustin Ulrichson and his wife, Kelly of Lufkin; Peter Ulrichson of Lufkin; Brandee Sandburg and her husband, Nick of Keller, Texas; and Jason Lentz of North Richland Hills; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Cochran and her husband, Gordon of Alma; one brother, Daryle Schroder and his wife, Kay of Alma; sister-in-law, Juanita Ulrichson of Lincoln, Nebraska; along with many extended family members.
There will be no visitation, viewing, or memorial book signing. The family has honored her wish for cremation.
A memorial has been established in Myrene's honor and kindly suggested to the family.
