Myrna Beth Lennemann

Mass of Christian Burial for Myrna B. Lennemann will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Father Nick Baker officiating. Following the Mass, cremation will take place and inurnment will be held at the Long Island Cemetery in Long Island, Kansas at a later date.

Myrna Beth (Reynolds) Lennemann, 80 years of age, of Orleans, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Bryan Medical Center – East in Lincoln, Nebraska. Myrna was born on June 14, 1936 on the family farm near Long Island, Kansas to George Andrew and Grace (Rains) Reynolds. She attended primary school at Long Island High School, later graduating with the class of 1954.

Myrna married Jack Lennemann on November 26, 1955 and to this union 7 children were born: Curtis, Douglas, Pamela, Gregory, Kimberly, Bradley and Michael. This marriage later ended in divorce.

Myrna was a seamstress all of her life and loved to cook. In April 1989, she started working at the C.B. Preston Memorial Library in Orleans. She also drove school bus for the school and many miles for the Colonial Villa. She enjoyed babysitting and volunteering at the Caring Cupboard for many years.


Myrna was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her seven children: Curtis Lennemann and his wife, Janet of Hastings, Nebraska, Douglas Lennemann and significant other, Kim Speth of Orleans, Pamela Perez and husband, Robert of Lincoln, Gregory Lennemann and wife, Tereasa of Stamford, Nebraska, Kimberly Wessels and her significant other, Jim Fouts of Republican City, Nebraska, Bradley Lennemann and his wife, Amy of Garland, Nebraska and Michael Lennemann and his wife, Deanna of rural Orleans; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenton Erle Reynolds of Madison, Illinois; along with nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. at the church.

A memorial has been established in Myrna's honor and kindly suggested to the Orleans Rural Fire Department or the C.B. Preston Memorial Library in Orleans.
