Memorial Graveside Services for Norman E. Klein, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Tom Thompson, officiating. Inurnment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery.

Norman Eugene Klein, Jr., 56 years of age, of Axtell, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at his home in Axtell. Norman was born July 29, 1952 at Orleans, Nebraska, the second of nine children of Norman Edward Klein Sr. and Christina May (Barnes) Klein. Norm received his education from Alma and Holdrege Public Schools. Following his education he was united in marriage to Marlene Carbaugh and to this union three sons were born: Chad, Casey and Trey. The family made their home in Holdrege, where Norm was employed in Construction and later worked in Maintenance and as a Mechanic. Through the years, Norm had been employed by Bethphage Mission in Axtell for seventeen years and most recently prior to his failing health he was employed by Rite-Way Milk Inc. at Holdrege.

Norm was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed socializing with his friends and spending time with his family.

He leaves to mourn his passing his two sons: Chad Pascoe and Casey Pascoe both of Holdrege; three brothers: Terry Klein of Kearney, Nebraska, Stephen Klein and his wife, Denise of Holdrege and Donald Klein of Holdrege; three sisters: Sandra Taylor and her husband, Melvin of Bloomington, Nebraska, Theresa Bernstrauch and her husband, Richard of Axtell and Cindy Horst and her husband, Robert of Holdrege; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Trey Pascoe and two brothers: Rex Klein in infancy and Michael Klein.

There will be no visitation, the family has chosen cremation.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
