Parker Evert Sturgis, 17 years of age, of rural Wilcox, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 as a result of a single motor vehicle accident. Parker was born January 19, 1998 in Holdrege at Phelps Memorial Hospital to Jimmy "Koke" and Wanda (Ogg) Sturgis. He joined a loving big sister, Kylie and made their family complete.

Parker was baptized at the Atlanta United Methodist Church with three of his cousins:  Dakota, Sturgis and Benjamin in 1998 and was confirmed at the Wilcox United Methodist Church with one of his best friends, Lance in 2012.

He attended the Wilcox-Hildreth Public Schools his entire life. In school, Parker was involved in football, wrestling, and FFA. He touched the lives of so many fellow classmates, teammates, coaches, and teachers, even opponents and was a role model to everyone he was around.

There was never a dull moment with Parker. He brought endless joy with him wherever he went. Parker loved to fish, hunt, trap, ride dirt bikes, or anything outdoors, but, ultimately, Parker loved people. Parker was everyone's friend and loved making others laugh. You would never find him without his favorite hat and cowboy boots. His best friends, many of whom included his cousins, could always count on him to make them laugh and go above and beyond to help them regardless of the task, that is who Parker was. Someone who would do anything for the people he loved and he did. He was an incredible son, brother, friend, grandson, cousin, and person. He leaves behind so many people to mourn his death and celebrate his life.

He is survived by his parents:  Jimmy "Koke" and Wanda (Ogg) Sturgis of Wilcox; his sister, Kylie Sturgis and her fiancé, Ryan Massman of Manhattan, Kansas; his grandparents: Evert and Bonita (David) Sturgis of Axtell, Nebraska and Archie and Lorraine (Vanosdall) Ogg of Grand Island, Nebraska; his aunts and uncles: Julie Hill of Holdrege and friend, Bruce Schescke of Oxford, Nebraska, Karen Hanson and Doug Hanson of Axtell, Jill and Bob Silver of Funk, Nebraska, Kristi Massey of Alda, Nebraska, Alan and Connie Ogg of Grand Island, Clyde and Barb Ogg of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mona Lehman and friend, Jim Bedney of Seattle, Washington, Glenn and Sue Ogg of Nashville, Tennessee; and an endless list of cousins and friends who he loved so much.
