Patricia L. Axtell

A Funeral Service for Patricia Axtell will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Pastor Murray Jones officiating. Interment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery.

Patricia Louise (Siverly) Axtell, 69 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Bethany Home in Minden, Nebraska. Patricia was born on November 5, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, the second of four children, born to Bill and Patricia (Storer) Siverly. Patricia grew up in McCook, Nebraska. She received her primary education from McCook Public. Patricia then pursued higher education at the Central Community College and graduated with an Associate's degree in nursing in 1997 and then received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Following her graduation, Patricia worked at Richard Young for twelve years, then at Phelps Memorial, the Holdrege Veteran's Clinic for five years until 2018 when she retired.

In April 1973, Patricia was united in marriage to Jim Ellenwood in South Dakota. Patricia was blessed with two daughters: Karen and Melannie. In her free time, Patricia loved to decorate and work outside in her yard. She enjoyed reading and attending garage sales.

Patricia was preceded in death by her mom, Patrica Larson; a granddaughter Angel Burken; a great-granddaughter, Faith Burken; and her step-father, Victor Larson.

Patricia leaves to celebrate her life, her children: Karen Ellenwood and Melannie (Richard) Burken of Holdrege; siblings: Vicky (Laverne) Leibrandt of McCook; Mike (Shirley) Larson of Loveland; Colorado, Elaine (Greg) Evans of Kearney; ten grandchildren: Jimmy Burken; Hope (Vergil) Nelson; Kylie Burken; Kelsy Burken, Jalynn (Ryan) Bauman; Dylan (Alyana) Hruby; Domenic Hruby; Bianca Hruby; and Naudia Hruby; and one great-grandchild: Chayse Hruby; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 26, 2026, at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
