Funeral service for Patricia McShea will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the New Wine Fellowship in Orleans, Nebraska, with Pastor Lana Dake officiating. Interment will follow at the Orleans Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Orleans Harold Morin Post #184 in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps Funeral Honors Team.

Patricia Evelyn "Patty" (Neubauer) McShea, 77 years of age, of Minden, Nebraska, formerly of Orleans, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Bethany Home in Minden, Nebraska. Patty was born March 17, 1949, in Orleans, the youngest of six children to Max Arthur and Evelyn Minnie (Mintzmyer) Neubauer. She received her education from Orleans Public School, graduating from Orleans High School with the class of 1967. She also later attended college in Ft. Hays, Kansas, where she took classes to obtain a business degree.

She enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1967.

In 1969 was united in marriage to Dennis Ford, and they were blessed with three children: Fredrick Scott, Aaron Vernon, and Angel Diane. In 1986, the family made their home in Dillon, Colorado where Patty was employed at Silverthorne Lodge, and as a businesswoman for Maidenform.

She was later married to Michael McShea. Patty managed numerous businesses in Kansas, Colorado, Texas, and Nebraska until her retirement in 1995.

She was a faithful member of New Wine Fellowship in Orleans and a devoted member of many Bible studies through the years. Patty loved interior decorating and puppies.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Ford in 2013; three brothers: Carl Neubauer; Fred Neubauer and his wife, Cheryl; and Ford Neubauer; sister-in-law, Linda Neubauer; a niece, Laurel Neubauer; and Dennis Ford.

She leaves to celebrate her life her daughter, Angel Newhart of Waco Texas; son, Scott Ford and his wife, Amy of Alma, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren: Damian Jonsson; Troy Marvin; Max Ford; Samuel Ford; Nickolas Ford; Dylan Ford; Jadyn Ford; J. (Traci) Newhart; Justin (Chloe) Newhart; Jacob (Caitlin) Newhart; and Johnathon Newhart; three great-grandchildren: Diana and Theodore Newhart; Aaron Newhart; two brothers: Larry Neubauer and his wife, Madolene of Bedford, Texas; and Dennis Neubauer of Alma; one sister-in-law, Dee Neubauer of Bellevue, Nebraska; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma.
