Celebration of Life Services for Patricia R. Watson will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastors Murray Jones and Doug Reed officiating.

Patricia Ruth "Pat" Watson, age 88, of Holdrege, died on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege. Pat was born on January 28, 1934, in Oneonta, New York, to Carl and Mildred (Springstead) Hartwell. The family moved to Yuma, Colorado, where she attended Yuma High School, graduating with the class of 1950.
On May 28, 1950, Pat was united in marriage to Eldon G. Watson in Yuma, and to this union, four children were born: Michael, David, Rian, and Penny. The family made their home in Yuma, Co; Denver, Co; Greeley, CO; North Platte, NE and in 1959, moved to Holdrege. Pat worked at J.M. McDonalds, City of Holdrege and later as a bookkeeper for Artistic Woven Labels for over 17 years, until her retirement.
Pat accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a faithful member of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church. She loved to volunteer in the church and helped in many capacities throughout the years. Pat also enjoyed delivering meals-on-wheels for many years.
Pat loved to read and in her earlier years played bridge, swam and did water aerobics. But most of all, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Penny Hedges of Parker, Colorado; two brothers: Harold Hartwell and his wife Virginia, and Norman Harwell; and six sisters: Dora Hartwell, Gladys Ealey and her husband Willis, Lois Allen and her husband Will, Wanda Meeker and her husband Art, Shirley Lundquist and her husband Hank, and Mary Jo Baraniuk.
Pat leaves to celebrate her life; her three sons: Michael Watson of Lincoln, Nebraska; David Watson and his wife, Sheila of Shawnee, Kansas; and Rian Watson and his wife, Kim of Las Vegas, Nevada; son-in-law, Clint Hedges of Parker, Colorado; 8 grandchildren: Jaime Watson and his wife Miranda, Jennifer Trevarrow and her husband Brandon, Amber Gleasure and her husband Daniel, Alicia Watson and her special friend Matt Friedman, Michelle Maisto and her husband Alidad Vakili, Kimberly Conde and her husband Robert, Samuel Hedges, Shannon Hedges and her husband Sam Derewlany ; 9 great-grandchildren: Nolan Watson, Myles Watson, Camden Trevarrow, Anniston Trevarrow, Jacob Gleasure, Addie Gleasure, Brianna DeWalt, Olivia Conde, Izzabella Vakili; one sister: Beverly Prodinski and her husband Mel of Milford, Utah; she is also survived by many other family members, including numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. The family is honoring Pat's wishes for cremation.
A memorial has been established in Pat's honor and kindly suggested to the Trinity Evangelical Free Church for Missions.
