Private Graveside Memorial Service and Inurnment for Patricia Anne Schlatz will be held at a later date at the Alma Cemetery, Alma, Nebraska.

Patricia Anne (Robinson) Schlatz, 85 years of age, of Alma, Nebraska, formerly of Republican City, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her grandson's home in Alma.  Patricia was born in northern Phillips County, Kansas on November 30, 1931 to Sidney and Mildred (Drake) Robinson.

Patricia or Pat as she was known to family and friends, grew up on the family farm and graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1949.  She started her educational career at the age of 17, when she became one of Nebraska's one-room school teachers at District #42 in south Harlan County.  She retired from USD 325 in Phillipsburg in 1996, after a long career in public education.

She married Donald Otto Schlatz on June 3, 1951, and three children were born to this marriage:  two sons, Kim and Stuart and one daughter, Jill.

Patricia enjoyed farm life and was an active participant in all aspects of farming.  After her retirement from teaching, Patricia enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross Blood Drive and the Caring Cupboard in Alma.  She served on the election board and was devoted member of the Methodist Church in Republican City.  She took pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandson and was eagerly anticipating the birth of her second great-grandson in May.

Ill health forced her to move from her farm home in 2016, however, she was blessed with the opportunity to live with her grandson and his family in Alma, for the last months.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Don in 2007.  She is survived by her three children:  Kim Schlatz and wife, Cindy of Coppell, Texas, Stuart Schlatz and wife, Joni of Trumbull, Nebraska and Jill Stoelting and husband, Jim of Orleans, Nebraska; three granddaughters:  Amy Schlatz of Doniphan, Nebraska, Renee Schlatz of Omaha, Nebraska and Jena Schlatz of Lincoln, Nebraska; two grandsons:  Daniel Stoelting and wife, Meghan of Alma and Jacob Stoelting of Omaha; and one great-grandson, Carson Stoelting of Alma.

There will be no Visitation or Memorial Book Signing.

A memorial has been established in Patricia's honor and will be designated at a later date.
